I’ve been unable to get to the Tumblr systems for a few weeks now.

Since I won’t be able to formulate thoughts around much of what I’ve seen or read I think I’ll just provide a link dump from the past week of interesting things.

Here is a pithy post exploring “Purpose-Idea” that I liked but will say I generally disagree with his critique of MS’s tagline. Since everyone is already blogging about that campaign I won’t waste my time but I have found it to be effective in getting people to not talk about Vista or some other MS product that is lackluster.

If you like that post then you might be able to grin and bear a post from Russell Davies that is vague enough to infuriate but has some nuggets of wisdom and is very entertaining.

The image of course is for the 0-2 hole the Cubs have dug in the first two embarassing games of their series with the Dodgers.  To me the pressure of winning for a franchise that’s gone 100 years without a World Series is having a devastating affect on their play. 

And to end on a positive note, Stanford is offering a set of their most popular Engineering courses for free to students and educators.
