Response to Bike Hero video by Droga5 for Guitar Hero World Tour efforts has put me in awe of not only how dorky this subculture might be but also how “viral marketing douchebags” is another name the general public is now throwing at advertisers.

Makes me wonder what will happen if more “disruptive reality” efforts get sold in?  Or if the product innovation wings of agencies like BBH take off.  More and more I feel like advertisers don’t want to be advertisers anymore and being a “marketing consultant” isn’t enough.  At least I’m not the only one who thinks this.
